About The Project For Schools

Welcome

The education sector has a vital role to play in raising awareness about the importance of rainforests in stopping climate change. To support schools in this role, The Prince’s Rainforests Project (PRP) has created this Schools website.

Aimed at children, parents and teachers of children aged 3 to 16, the website includes a range of free resources such as lesson ideas, assembly ideas, fun games and activities, and short videos. There is an Awards scheme that classes can work through by completing rainforest lessons and projects, and an area where schools and teachers from around the world can share new ideas for lesson ideas and showcase their students’ work.

The lesson ideas we have created are compatible with the UK national curriculum; however, they can be used whichever country you’re in!  In collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance, we also provide resources and links specific to the US curriculum.

Register your school

By registering your school you can subscribe to be notified of future exciting initiatives and activities that your school can join in with. If you wish, you can also upload work to our online gallery and take part in our Award scheme by using the Rainforest Quest lesson ideas (found in the Free Resources section) or by creating your own. By signing up there is no further commitment - but you will get a free certificate of thanks for your class/school.
