Win a Tree-mendous Rainforest Frog Competition Winners

Wild in ArtWe were amazed and delighted by the overwhelming response we had to our three “Win a Tree-mendous Rainforest Frog” competitions and we would like to thank everyone who took part for their time and effort.

We received over 12,500 designs in just four weeks!  The frog images represent a visual petition of staggering proportions and we have chosen a winner from each of the three competitions:

The winners are:

Katrina Reid, age 16, of The Latymer School in Enfield, London for her design in The Prince’s Rainforest Project / Big Draw and Cool It Schools competition.  The idea behind her design was that the life of this frog affects the life of everyone in every country.

Ezmay Jopling, age 13, of Shebbear College, Devon for her Rainforest Fire frog design in the Eco-Schools competition.

Amy Board, age 8, of the cubs at Barton Scout Group, North Yorkshire for her design in the Scouts competition.

The three winners received giant frog sculptures to paint and their finished frogs will be part of an exhibition that moves from St. James’s Palace to the National Geographic Store in London and on to The Eden Project in Cornwall before they return to the schools/youth groups in 2010.

Congratulations to everyone who took part. We appreciate all your hard work to raise the awareness of the value of rainforests in schools. Long may rainforest projects continue to provide inspiration and engage with so many children! The future of the rainforests is after all our future too.

Please note that if your school was not lucky enough to win a giant frog, they are available from Wild in Art (email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
