7th January 2010 - Swamp Donkeys
What lurks under the black water? Anacondas - the biggest snakes in the world that crush their victims to death with their huge muscular bodies - and electric eels that can knock a man out with the shock that they give. The men then drown. So far Cho and I have been lucky. We've seen one viper swimming very close to us - but it was scared of us and hurried away. A good thing too as their venom can kill a person very quickly.
The waters are still low enough to make seven kilometers a day. That's good for Cho and me. Finger crossed it will last. Join us on 21st January for the next update. You can also check out our new Question of the Week video - and send in your own questions for Ed to answer from the Amazon! |
