Our Quests (lessons) are designed to provoke further questioning and investigation by children. Each Quest is a simple framework that allows children and teachers to work collaboratively, to solve problems, find solutions and re-present ideas using a variety of techniques. You can pick and mix – just choose an age group from the left hand menu - or take a set from our Rainforest Series.
All the Quests fit with existing UK national curriculum requirements, as well as other policy requirements and schools initiatives including the international Eco-Schools Award scheme, but you don’t have to be in the UK or following the UK national curriculum to use them. To give teachers a broad opportunity to cover the subject matter, we have created material in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Geography, ICT, Citizenship, History, Art and PE.
We hope teachers will use the opportunity to extend their children's knowledge and appreciation of the world's rainforests and how their future affects the future of our planet.
To help busy teachers, we’ve developed a Rainforest Series for Key stages 1, 2 and 3. They cover core parts of the UK curriculum and include a range of lesson ideas, an assembly plan and a selection of great interactive resources to support their delivery.
All of our lesson ideas are suitable for use in Geography lessons.
