Activity Days

Rainforest Butterfly by Yalda Davis

Whole School Rainforest Focus Day

Rainforest Week

  • Get the entire school involved in the Quests during the week.
  • At the end of the week, children come to school dressed as a rainforest creature.

Other Ideas

1. Bring my parents/siblings (or even Grandparents) to school

  • Involve the parents/adults in a Quest.
  • Gives brothers/sisters and families the opportunity of working together.

2. Let’s have a Rainforest Quiz!

  • A great end of term opportunity to test knowledge and have fun.
  • Try a family quiz evening.
  • Set the organisation of the quiz as a Quest for older children.

3. Get to know your neighbours

  • Try a cluster event/week on The Prince's Rainforests Project.
  • An ideal way for children about to transfer to make new friends.

4. Produce a play-in-a-day

  • An exciting way of working as a team to a challenging deadline.
  • What about 'rainforest monsters' as a theme? There are some really scary beasts in the rainforest.

5. Music Workshops

  • Set the whole school a shared Quest.
  • Produce a Musical Composition in a Day
  • Involve every child in the school.  Work as a class/year group or house team.
  • Use instruments and voice to create a soundscape of the rainforest.

6. Look for new, rainforest related names for your House teams
