This live video is streamed from the remote tropical forest of Fundacion Jocotoco’s Buenaventura Reserve, Ecuador, South America and brought to you by The World Land Trust.  The World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other wildlife habitats.  You can help protect important wildlife areas such as Buenaventura by saving acres of rainforest with the World Land Trust.

Please note that, because of the remote location, power failures are common and therefore affect the live video stream.

There are 235 species of birds indigenous to this area of Ecuador, but some special birds you may see on this feeder are: Toucans (including the Grey Breasted Mountain Toucan), the Pacific Royal Flycatcher (orange crest, golden plumage), El Oro Parakeets (vivid green) and Hummingbirds.  You might also be lucky enough to see a Coati (a member of the Raccoon family) foraging for treats on the platform behind the bird feeder.
